What is the Fund for Oneonta?
Each year, SUNY Oneonta students and the Alumni Association rely on the generosity of alumni, parents, faculty, staff, and friends to provide flexible and immediate annual support through contributions to the Fund for Oneonta.
Gifts to the Fund for Oneonta support student scholarships, student-faculty research, library acquisitions, professional development and networking opportunities for alumni and students, programs that enhance the cultural and intellectual climate on campus, and events that connect alumni throughout the United States.
Fund for Oneonta gifts come in all sizes. Your enthusiasm, demonstrated through your giving, sends an important message to others. And, it provides tremendous advantages to SUNY Oneonta students – advantages that will last a lifetime.

For all gifts; please make checks payable to SUNY College at Oneonta Foundation. Checks may be sent to: SUNY College at Oneonta Foundation, 308 Netzer Administration Building, Oneonta, NY 13820.

Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT)
You can transfer your gift from your checking account on a recurring basis, such as a monthly gift, or as a one-time gift. Please contact Michael Sullivan at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
All SUNY employees can make their gift to the College by having it deducted through their paycheck. To start making your gifts through payroll deduction, or to adjust the gifts that you are making through payroll deduction, simply print this form and send it to our office.
How do matching gifts work?

What are some other options for giving?
Appreciated Stock and Mutual Funds
Contributing appreciated stock and mutual funds is a way to make a significant gift while saving capital gains and income taxes. You can specify either a certain number of shares or a dollar amount. If you are interested in making a gift of stock or mutual funds, please contact Michael Sullivan at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.

A residence, vacation home, farm, acreage, or vacant lot may have appreciated in value over the years and selling it outright could result in a sizeable capital gains tax. By giving such property to the College you can support your interests and benefit from considerable tax savings.
SUNY Oneonta’s Giving Societies
Presidential Society ~$25,000 and above
Since its founding in 1889, a number of visionary and enlightened individuals have led the College and prepared students and faculty to excel in their work. The Presidential Society, SUNY Oneonta’s pinnacle annual giving society, recognizes those individuals whose devotion and generosity enables the College to continue to excel today.
SUNY Oneonta thrives today because individuals with great passion and commitment to the College—and the education it provides—have positioned the College for success throughout its proud history. The Leadership Society recognizes those individuals who, through their gifts and commitments, provide life-changing opportunities for SUNY Oneonta’s students and for the future of the College.

Pillars Consecutive Giving Society
In 1889, students first passed through the pillars of Old Main, a tradition that continues at SUNY Oneonta today. Pillars Society members, individuals who have made gifts for three or more consecutive years, play a critical role in supporting and preserving the traditions of our College.
Netzer Planned Giving Society
Named after the late College President Royal Netzer and his wife Clara, this society recognizes individuals who, like the Netzers, have named the College at Oneonta Foundation in their will or estate plan. Through their thoughtful planning, members of this society create a legacy that lasts forever.
