Class of 2007 (and Class of 1957)
For the first time in the history of our College, a graduating class and a 50th Reunion class joined forces to support their alma mater. The Senior Class of 2007 invited the 50th Reunion Class of 1957 to join their campaign to make a special gift to the College.
The Class of 2007 voted on several gift options and chose the 57-07 Gazebo. Located near the Science I Building, the 57-07 Gazebo offers a charming new landmark on campus.
All members of the Senior Class of 2007 and the 50th Reunion Class of 1957 were asked to make a gift to support the gazebo. Faculty, staff, and families also made gifts in honor of a graduating seniors or alumni celebrating their 50th reunion. Additional support came from Oneonta Auxiliary Services and the Alumni Association.
Nearly $24,000 was raised for the 57-07 Gazebo, which was dedicated during Reunion Weekend. This project clearly demonstrates that we can have a significant impact when we join together to support a worthy cause.
