Changes to Facebook Connection Feature

Effective October 1, 2011

October 1, 2011, Facebook® will be changing its support requirements for Connect. If you are currently using Connect on your Alumni Profile, please review the upcoming changes:

Alumni who have previously activated Connect between their profile and Facebook accounts will need to "re-allow" the Facebook connection. This one-time process occurs via a pop-up window during the community login, and you simply need to click the "Allow" button. You will not have to re-enter your community credentials. 

Request for Permission pop-up window:

Your community profile image will no longer be automatically populated with your Facebook profile image. This allows you to maintain two separate profile images for each account, regardless of login status.

Facebook has removed the automatic site-wide login functionality, allowing for enhanced security across the system.
