Women’s Glee Club 51st Anniversary Celebration

Alumni Members of the College’s Women’s Glee Club gathered for their
51st year anniversary of the club’s founding during Reunion Weekend June 6-8, 2008. This reunion also commemorates the 40th reunion of their European tour.
(06/07/08) A surprise announcement was made at the end of the first Music Department Hall of Fame about the Charles C. Burnsworth Scholarship endowed through the combined donations from many former Glee Clubbers. Here, in the photo at the left are Dr. Donovan presenting Chuck with a certificate from members of the Women's Glee Club. The scholarship will be awarded to "students who demonstrate interest in the pursuit of excellence in musical performance and/or community service, with a preference to musical performance as demonstrated through participation in such activities as NYSSMA, all-county, and all-state performances. Preference will be given to students with financial need.
